What to apply with
A 1-page CV (even if it feels light). A GitHub with 3 projects. A 200-word cover letter that doesn’t say "I’m a fast learner". Mention your timezone clearly.
Compensation expectations
Paid remote internships from US/EU startups: $1k–$3k/mo. Outreachy: $7k stipend. Free internships exist but rarely lead to full-time offers — prioritize paid ones even if pay is low.
Conversion to full-time
Show up on time every day. Ask before asking again. Write end-of-week summaries unprompted. Most full-time offers from internships go to the person who needed the least handholding.
