The Role
They are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end product functionality across modern web applications and backend services. This role owns both the interface users interact with and the systems that power it. Working closely with product, design, and platform teams, the engineer will turn ideas into scalable, production-ready solutions that hold up under real usage. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving across the stack, solving problems holistically, and shipping work they’re proud of. The successful candidate will be located within the US, ideally in a CT time-zone, although, they are more focused on finding the right candidate, rather than the right location.
The Responsibilities
Frontend Engineering
Develop polished, high-performing user interfaces using React and TypeScriptBuild and maintain reusable UI components and shared design patternsEnsure interfaces are responsive, accessible, and optimized for production useTranslate product requirements and design concepts into maintainable frontend code
Backend & API Development
Implement backend functionality using NodeJS, NestJS, and TypeScriptDesign and maintain service layers, controllers, data models, and repositoriesContribute to database schema changes, migrations, and query optimizationBuild secure, well-structured API endpoints that support core application features
Full-Stack Ownership
Participate in API contract design and contribute to documentation-first workflowsEnsure reliable data flow between frontend and backend systemsTroubleshoot issues across UI, APIs, authentication, caching, and deployment layersCollaborate cross-functionally to deliver durable, end-to-end solutions
Quality, Performance & Tooling
Write and maintain automated tests across the stackImprove development workflows, build pipelines, and CI processesOptimize frontend rendering, backend performance, and payload efficiencyUphold standards for code quality, accessibility, observability, and error handling
Collaboration & Mentorship
Take part in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architectural reviewsProvide constructive code reviews and support the growth of other engineersDocument shared patterns, conventions, and system behaviorsWork closely with engineering, QA, and product partners on shared initiatives
The Requirements
Prior experience in gaming (AAA or Indie), VR or simulators.Exposure to smaller organisations/the start-up environment.Several years of professional experience building full-stack applicationsStrong proficiency with React and TypeScript in modern frontend architecturesHands-on experience developing backend services with NodeJS and NestJSSolid understanding of responsive design, CSS layout systems, and styling frameworksExperience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs and defining API contractsFamiliarity with frontend build tools and modern development workflowsStrong debugging skills across browsers, server-side processes, and API layersClear communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines
