Andson Biotech is an Atlanta-based biotech startup developing DynaChip X1, a platform for rapid sample preparation and buffer exchange in mass spectrometry workflows. Our technology enables researchers to study proteins and biotherapeutics more efficiently, helping accelerate advances in life sciences and drug development.
We are seeking a Front-End Development Intern to help develop and improve the user interface for DynaChip X1. The primary focus of this role will be transforming Figma designs and product requirements into a polished, responsive, and maintainable UI used by customers, field engineers, and internal teams. The interface includes live status monitoring, data visualization, workflow automation, and control of hardware subsystems.
While front-end development will be the primary responsibility, interns will also gain exposure to hardware systems, product testing, manufacturing, and day-to-day engineering activities.
Responsibilities
Implement and refine user interfaces from Figma designs using modern web technologies
Improve usability, responsiveness, and overall user experience of the DynaChip X1 platform
Collaborate with engineers to translate product requirements into software features
Test new functionality, identify bugs, and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Create and maintain user-facing documentation and troubleshooting resources
Assist with assembly, testing, and production of DynaChip X1 systems as needed
Qualifications
Required
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience building user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and Git
Familiarity with frontend profiling tools
Preferred
Experience with React and TypeScript
Experience working from Figma designs
Experience building responsive user interfaces using Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks
Familiarity with APIs, WebSockets, or real-time applications
Python and/or C++ experience (for small backend and/or embedded projects)
Experience with databases
Interest in hardware systems and hands-on engineering
Experience using AI-assisted development tools
Experience with Raspberry Pi computers.
